About the Tile Works:
Hand cut and inlayed using industrial flooring, these works provide a reminder of the once ubiquitous animal skin rug and/or the residue of life found on the flooring of a cave dwelling while taking on a modern, “easy to clean” identity. It is as if these tile works are futuristic products made by a people whom have lost information about the past: these remnants could be all that remains of these threatened, endangered, and in the case of the European Cave Bear or Ursus spelaeus, extinct species.
